Our Mission
ReDux’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and reeducate horses — giving each a fresh start and a path to a safe, loving home. We work to save equines before they are at-risk of entering the slaughter pipeline by accepting owner surrenders and assisting law enforcement in cases of neglect or cruelty. Through strong partnerships, we hope to expand access to adoption and eliminate barriers to second chances.

Our Founder & CEO
Paulette Brown is the founder and CEO of ReDux Equine Rescue, a small, 501(c)3 non-profit charity near Athens, Georgia. At ReDux (pronounced "re-do"), we want to give each of our rescues a fresh start — or a "do-over" so to speak — which is the inspiration of our name. We are starting small, but we hope, with your help, to be able to help even more horses in the future. Ultimately, we want to be able to say YES to any horse in need.
Our Story
ReDux started in January 2021 when Paulette rescued five horses from a sheriff's seizure auction. Those five were her first official rescues, but she had been taking on horses to help folks out who were in tough situations for a couple years. With that and her experience at another horse rescue, Paulette decided to become official, and ReDux gained its 501(c)3 status in April 2021.
